Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic with install, maintain, trouble-shoot, and repair production equipment used in the manufacturing of restaurant furniture products. Essential duties include:

1. Install, maintain and repair production equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities in accordance with company policy and procedures.

2. Read and interpret equipment manuals and blue prints to perform required maintenance and service.

3. Trouble-shoot, make repairs and adjustments to equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and maximize production time.

4. Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments, including dismantling, inspecting, machining or replacing parts.

5. Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.

6. Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.

7. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production

8. Assist Maintenance Supervisor with completion of facility maintenance activities.

9. Other projects as assigned.

Other Competencies

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· Technical school graduate or equivalent in electrical, plumbing or general building trades required

· 1-3 years experience in mechanical trades required including: electrical and plumbing

· Prior experience in manufacturing setting preferred

· Ability to understand and carry out instructions quickly

· Ability to read manufacturer’s manuals, work orders, etc. in English

· Proficient in use of small hand tools and possesses troubleshooting aptitude

· Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment

· Work with little supervision, monitoring own work and quality

· Basic computer skills

· Must maintain safe maintenance practices and adhere to Waymar and OSHA safety requirements

· Availability to work occasional overtime as needed

Work Schedule
6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Extended hours may be required as service needs dictate.

Compensation
Starting rate of pay is commensurate with knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience directly relevant to this position.
